The Children's Bookshop is located near the border of England and Wales in Hay on Wye, in the county of Herefordshire. It is 1/2 mile (1km) from Hay on Wye (3 miles from the Whitney Toll Bridge) on the B4350 between Hay on Wye and Clifford. We have car parking on the premises and there is additional parking space on the road on either side of the shop.

Hay on Wye is a small market town with a population of around 2,500 people. The nearest large towns are the cities of Brecon, 17 miles (27km) to the south west, and Hereford, 20 miles (32km) to the east.

Hay on Wye is easily reached by road from London, Birmingham and South Wales. There is a regular train service between Hereford and Birmingham, London and South Wales, and there is a regular bus service between Hay on Wye and Hereford and Brecon. Taxis are also available between Hereford and Hay on Wye.
